![]() I have Sunvox, Caustic 3, and FakeSID on my phone. Late reply, but I would like to recommend SunVox as usual. ![]() A good portion of the cost of this device could be justified only if it really had motorized knobs and faders, which are shown in the video but not mentioned among the features that would be a completely unnecessary gimmick (in such a device). No need to try as it already exists: Any Linux tablet with Reaper and a couple soft synths and a decent external sound card if needed would do a lot more for a lot less. Hell, throw Night Radio a few bucks even if you get it for free. Compared to like, a full blown DAW like Live 11 or something it's not perfect (is Live 11 even perfect?), but for my preference, there are overwhelmingly more positives than there are negatives. So I'm just gushing because this app has eaten my life lately and that's okay. Sunvox () has full support for microtonality! Of course the workflow is quite different from other daws (it's a tracker) but it's worth checking out imo. Incredible possibility, though the learning curb can be steep. Cheapest way to make music Pure Data, cSound, and SuperCollider are all free and opensource. If you're looking for a free Max/MSP alternative, check out Pure Data. Not really autechre related but probably someone here can help me out: I have a max msp patch that I want to import into ableton, but since I do not own a full max license I cannot change the patch. I think there are even a few wrapper libraries for building things into apps (libpd, mobmuplat, to name a few). Personally I got started with pure data, which is open source and a good place to learn DSP basics. Generating sine wave audio tone in kotlin/Java. It uses a visual programming approach, which many people like but if you are already a programmer it might seem inconvenient in comparison. You might also be interested in the very different Pure Data () environment, which is also free and open-source. It converts the audio graph and processing objects from a patch into plain human-readable JavaScript or WebAssembly which can then be integrated directly into any web application. WebPd is a highly modular compiler for audio programming language Pure Data allowing to run.
